In film [music theory](Music%20theory.md), we say that ==a music is countrapuntal when its mood is at the exact opposite of what the film is showing==. I.e, a scene that depict anger with a music that let you feel deep happiness.
It's a tool to soften the hardness of a scene, using the music. I.e, this scene from Reservoir Dogs:
